The schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which will be staged in Mumbai and Pune, was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Over the course of 65 days, a total of 70 league games and four playoff games will be played.
The 15th season will kick off on March 26th at Wankhede Stadium, with a match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. The league's inaugural double-header will take place on March 27th, with the Delhi Capitals taking on the Mumbai Indians in a Day match at Brabourne. Punjab Kings against Royal Challengers Bangalore will be played at the DY Patil Stadium at night.
On March 29th, Sunrisers Hyderabad will play Rajasthan Royals at the MCA Stadium in Pune for the first time. Wankhede and DY Patil Stadiums will host 20 matches apiece, while Brabourne and MCA International Stadium in Pune will host 15 matches each. There will be a total of 12 doubleheaders, the first of which will begin at 3:30 p.m. IST.
The first match of the evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. IST. On the 22nd of May, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings will meet at Wankhede Stadium in the last match of the league stage. Later, the schedule for the Playoffs and the TATA IPL 2022 final, which will take place on May 29th, will be released.
